(And Create Space for Massive Manifestations!)
Have you ever had a moment where your day was going along just fine, then just like that you felt triggered, uncomfortable, and full of self-doubt?
It happens to everyone from at some point. Situations can hit you out of the blue and take you from a peaceful day to a chaotic disaster.
Not too long ago, I had an unexpected incident show up in my own life. And for a while, it set off a stream of crazy mind-chatter that I didn’t see coming. I went from having a peaceful and centered day to feeling like an overwhelmed mess.
But I bet you’ve been down that road before too, right?
When challenging moments come, it can trigger your mind into worst-case-scenario mindset. Fear and worry take over, and it’s all down here from there.
Before you know it you worry about every little thing that could go wrong. Or is going wrong. Or might go wrong tomorrow. And within two minutes, you’re convinced that you’re going to be homeless, jobless, and friendless by the next day, right?
That, my friends, is what I call “monkey mind.” And it can convince you that things are a lot scarier than they actually are!
Of course, most of the things that monkey mind creates aren’t actually happening. Your monkey mind creates a worst-case scenario that only exists in your mind. It’s simply a product of your fear-based thoughts thoughts.
And the good news is that when it comes to thoughts, you have choices! Even though you might feel like you don’t have a say in where your worried mind goes, you actually have more power than you think.
What possible options do you have when the monkey-mind kicks in?
You could choose to let your mind take you down the worst-case-scenario rabbit hole. Or you could choose to push your feelings down and pretend they don’t exist (that’s what most people do).
One choice will trigger fear and anxiety. The other might make you feel free for a while, but stuffed emotions always find their way out (and sometimes when they do, it’s not pretty!).
But what if there was a third option? One that could stop your monkey mind from stopping you?
I found that third option, and believe it or not, it did more than just quiet my monkey mind. It lead to a massive manifestation that I never could’ve predicted!
What did I do, and how did it change my life? Let’s talk about that right now!
On the weekend of November 11th, I was blindsided with an unexpected circumstance. And I’m not going to lie–it brought up emotions I didn’t see coming. But instead of struggling against the fear or trying to high-vibe my way out of it, I did something else entirely.
I simply decided to BE with my feelings. I chose to sit with my feelings without clinging to them. I chose to allow them to rise to the surface, and I simply noticed them. Without overanalyzing them OR trying to make them go away.
I saw the moment as a chance to let go of old energy, release unconscious contracts, and be present. No judgment, I just felt how I felt.
But I also made myself a promise. I decided that by 5:00 PM, I would let all of these feelings go.
So I closed my eyes and thanked the Universe for bringing this situation to my attention. I expressed gratitude for everything that my circumstances taught me. And then I prepared to release that energy with love.
Then 5:00 PM came, and let it all go. What happened next was magical…
At exactly 20 minutes after 5:00, I got a phone call telling me that I won the grand prize in a raffle that I entered the day before!
It was a raffle that I entered the day before at a church carnival. And even more interestingly, it was a raffle that I didn’t even intend to enter!
We were at an event at my husband’s cousin’s church the day before. And at this event, they were holding a raffle with some pretty impressive prizes. But I didn’t have much interest in entering until my husband pointed out that the grand prize was a sapphire ring.
Now, you know how much I love crystals (as I created the Sacred Crystal Codes), so I had to buy a ticket at that point!
The lady selling tickets asked me how many I wanted to buy, and I told her, “Just one, because I’m going to win the sapphire ring!”
We both had a laugh about it. But somehow, the words I said felt like more than just a little joke.
And guess what? The very next day, with just one entry into the raffle, my affirmation came true. I really did win that sapphire ring, just like I said I was going to!
Now, winning this ring wasn’t the first time I manifested something. But this particular experience was different. And I believe that the difference was the way that I held my energy that day. Here’s what I mean by that…
When I told the lady that I was going to win the ring, I didn’t say it to brag. I said it because I believed that it was true. And with that belief, I held an energy of peaceful conviction.
I knew I would win, but I wasn’t stressed about it. I wasn’t attached to an outcome. I simply made the statement, then let it go. And lo and behold, that ring was mine a day later!
Now, you might be wondering by now–what does manifesting a sapphire ring have to do with monkey minds and challenging situations? Let’s talk about that connection right now…
Things show up in your life for a reason. And most of the time, that reason is to help you release old energy. Let go of old soul contracts. And open up space for new miracles to manifest.
But sometimes, the things that do show up are pretty unpleasant, even if they’re happening for your greater good.
What happens next? Most of us either decide to let those negative feelings send us into a tailspin, or we try to push those feelings down, hoping they’ll “go away.”
And the result is that you hold on to that energy. You attract the same situation again at a later time. It takes up the space that could be better occupied with something that you DO want.
But what if you decided to take the third option, and simply let your feelings be what they are? What if you allowed the lessons behind the fear and anxiety show up, so that you could finally let that negative energy go?
That is what happened when I allowed my feelings to surface. All I had to do was allow the emotions to come up. And to not let my mind judge those emotions.
And in so doing, I cleared out the space for an unexpected gift from the Universe!
I don’t believe I would’ve received my special ring if I wouldn’t have been working on my energy that day. I believe that it did show up for me because I was willing to feel the monkey mind feelings, and let them go.
And I believe that it was because I held a peaceful energy of conviction.
So how do you quiet the monkey mind and discover the meaning behind the crazy thoughts, without getting pulled into a rabbit hole of crazy thoughts?
I’ve broken it down into three simple steps.
Step #1: Stop your thoughts with awareness. Now, I don’t mean stop them altogether. That would be close to impossible! But what you can do is simply be aware of your mind chatter.
The moment that you notice the jibber-jabber, acknowledge it. And then, become fully present to what IS. Let the energy rise up, and acknowledge the thoughts without resistance. But at the same time, don’t allow yourself to attach to them either. Just notice them.
Step #2: Be with the feelings that arise. Allow yourself to connect, turn your focus inward, and be in the moment. Then let yourself feel whatever comes up. Be with those feelings, and experience what your soul wants you to experience.
The reason we attract situations into our lives–consciously or unconsciously–is that those situations have something to share with you. This is the time to hear those lessons.
Step #3: Set a time, and let them go. Set a time, and let that energy go. Make it time enough to experience your feelings without either quitting too soon or staying too long. In my case, I gave myself until 5:00 PM, then I let the energy go. So set a deadline, feel your feelings, and then let them go when it’s time.
And from there, let yourself move into a space of peaceful conviction that you will receive the thing you truly desire!
So I invite you to think about what you truly wish to manifest into your life. Is it a relationship, a job, or maybe to launch your dream business?
Use these three steps quiet your mind, let your fear and anxiety go, and bring in the energy of peaceful conviction.
Once you release the monkey mind energy, you are free to hold the space for what really want. And the energy of peaceful conviction will deliver your dreams to you!
So let the old energy go, and trade it for the energy of peaceful conviction. Then notice what shows up for you!
Have you ever struggled with the monkey mind? Give these steps a try, then leave me a comment and share how they worked for you!
