We all want abundance, right? Of course! Everyone wants to create their own reality, receive from the Universe, and live their best lives.
Of course, everyone says they want to create their own reality. Yet if you asked most people what their idea of a beautiful life is, you might get a lot of the same answers…
People say they want the money, the house, the car, the spouse. It’s like there’s this collective wisdom that is telling us what makes an “abundant” life…
But what happens when you’re able to manifest #allthethings, but you still feel unfulfilled? And what about the times when you try and try, but can’t seem to manifest anything at all?
Either way, your attempts to create the life you want leave you disappointed, and convinced that you’re doing it wrong.
But what if I told you that these “failures” aren’t your fault?
The truth is that many of us don’t receive what we want because we simply don’t know what we want. We make it up as we go along, asking for the things that the world tells us will make us happy. Most of the time we get pretty so-so results, too…
This doesn’t mean that the Law of Attraction doesn’t work! But there is a missing ingredient here–the one step that’ll help you know what you truly want, and manifest it for real.
I’m going to share it with you right here…ready?
Before you can know what you want, you need to understand who you are. You need to realign yourself with the identity that will help you create the life you want to have.
It’s never about the things that you say you want. It’s about what you want to experience. It’s about the way that you want to feel.
But how do you figure out who you are and what you want to feel in the first place?
Well, let me ask you this…
Do you know your Inner Child Archetype?
Believe it or not, knowing the archetype your Inner Child can help you work manifestation miracles!
Now, you might be asking yourself what “Inner Child Archetype” even means. How can a “child you” help the grownup version of you accomplish anything?
So let’s start with a simple yet powerful definition of what an Inner Child Archetype really is.
Your Inner Child comes from the stories you create about yourself based on your experiences as you grow up. It’s a collection of the things you believe to be true about yourself, whether you’re aware of these beliefs or not.
Now, what is an “archetype?” It’s a collection of personality traits. It’s the behaviors that you adopt so that you can move through life.
Archetypes serve as “masks” to help us navigate the world, and the making of the Inner Child archetype begins when we enter this world.
You see, children are like sponges. They absorb everything in their environment in an attempt to learn. Children also have strong intuitive abilities, which means they perceive and absorb things well beyond just their physical surroundings.
So when you were born into your current family, you began taking in everything about them from the start. Things like their individual personalities, their beliefs–even their memories and the agreements that they made with themselves and others.
All of these things eventually imprint on your personality and begin creating your Inner Child archetype.
That’s a lot to take in for a kid, isn’t it? But wait, there’s more…
As you grow up, you add to this all of your new experiences. These experiences are then added to your collection of memories.
Some of them you remember easily, others not at all. But whether you recall every moment of your life or not, your experiences have one thing in common.
With every experience, there is a memory. With every memory, there is an agreement that you make. An agreement that you chose according to how an experience affected you.
This is when your ego steps in….
Let’s say that when you were five years old, you shared a toy with a friend at school. But then something happened, and your friend lost that precious possession. What happens next?
From your five-year-old perspective, it’s a painful event. You’re sad because you lost something you loved. And according to the way that “kid you” sees it, that loss came from trusting someone else.
All the emotions then become attached to the memory, and there they sit.
This is when your ego–the part of you that wants to keep you safe–makes an agreement to avoid feeling that kind of pain again.
In this case, that agreement might be something like, “Don’t trust other people.”
Then you grow up, become an adult, and you discover a mistrust of others that you can’t quite explain. But you might not remember that you made the agreement to not trust others all those years ago!
But here’s the thing. Your ego wants to keep you safe, and it means to protect you. But those old agreements actually keep you from moving forward as an adult, even though they were based on a long-since forgotten moment.
Now, what do agreements like this have to do with your Inner Child archetype?
Your ego takes action based on on the Inner Child archetype that you identify with. Each of the archetypes respond to experiences in different ways.
All the archetypes have both shadows and light, challenges and strengths, ups and downs.
But sometimes, your ego takes action based only on the shadow side of your Inner Child. That means that it creates things fear and drama instead of solutions. It sabotages your forward progress based on outdated experiences that didn’t end well.
The good news is, though, that you can choose to align with the light of your archetype instead stay stuck in the shadows. That’s when the magic starts to happen!
Let me share a bit of my own story to shed a little light on the shadows…
I came to the United States from Brazil many years ago. I had a $600 in my pocket and a bag full of dreams. But what I didn’t know then was that there was more than dreams in that bag. There was also a victim mentality. A series of beliefs and experiences that I unknowingly absorbed from a parent.
Turns out that this mentality was running my life without my knowledge…
I learned that all that time, I’d been aligning too much with Inner Child shadow side. I was embracing the victim stories instead of embracing potential solutions.
When I learned where that these victim stories weren’t even mine to start with, it literally changed my life. I realized that I had more power than I could ever have imagined, and that I could change my life whenever I wanted.
Once I began embracing the light along with the darkness, everything in my life began to change right before my eyes!
That was when I called to learn about healing, intuition, and the Akashic Records. This was also when I discovered my own Inner Child Archetype.
From there, I created alignment with both my shadow side and my light side. I also learned how to bring the gifts of my archetype to the table rather than just the challenges.
Most of all, through my Inner Child Archetype, I shined a light on the identity I embraced, the one that had created my present–and I used that knowledge to create the future I wanted!
Through all the inner work I did in my Akashic Records, I healed my Inner Child. I freed the archetype so that it could be a powerful ally instead of an opponent.
It wasn’t that I bypassed my shadow side and focused only on the light. Your shadow side is an important part of who you are, and it needs to be acknowledged as well.
But when you align yourself with your shadow side as well as your bright side, you discover that you can create anything in life that is aligned with who you are. That’s because this kind of work helps you to see who you are!
So how do you know if you’re aligned with your both sides of your Inner Child Archetype?
Take a non-judgmental look at your life. Look at what you’re bringing into your world. If what you’re creating doesn’t bring you joy, take notice.
This doesn’t mean you’re failing at life. It does not mean that you’re doing anything wrong. You just might need a little Inner Child Archetype tune-up!
Remember what we said at the beginning…
You don’t manifest what you desire. You manifest who you are.
Who you think you are is a result of the experiences you’ve had in this life. What you think you want is a reflection of your experiences and the experiences of those around you.
But what if you could recognize the masks you’ve hid behind all this time, and choose to see all of who you are? What if you could align with both your shadows and your light, understand who you really are, and finally know what you want?
That’s what Inner Child Archetype work will do for you. It’ll shine a light on what’s stopping you from manifesting what you actually desire as opposed to what you think you should want!
Working with my Inner Child Archetype made such a difference in my life and in the lives of my students that it made me want to learn more about this powerful practice.
So I jumped in and learned all I could, and what I discovered is that there are five main Inner Child Archetypes. All of them have their challenges and strengths, and all of them have life-changing gifts!
